A year end party

On December 29, a year end party was held with part time members in Tamana. In the morning I went to the cram school to clean the rooms free of charge. We clean the whole cram. At first I cleaned the second floor because some students took make up classes in the first floor. There are two people so it is too hard. The hardest thing is to carry the tables out of the room to wax the floor. Then, we ate deep fried chicken lunch. In the afternoon, three teachers came there to help us. We cleaned the room. We finished cleaning at 5:00. I have cleaned there for 7 hours. At 7:00, we started a year end party. There are about twenty teachers in there. I ate a lot of foods such as deep fried chicken, croquettes, grilled chicken, and guts. They were very good. I ate guts for the first time. Guts containing a lot of collagen, so I ate it too much. The cost of the party was 1500 yen because the company granted a subsidy of some money. I was helped because I have no money. Then, we enjoy playing bingo game. I get a bath set in the bingo game. I was very excited because there are some penalties. After that, a continuation of a party at another place was held. We went to Tsukasa to play boring. I get the best score in my life. In addition, I get a strike for the first time. I did my best so my nail was come off. It was painful but I was very happy. I had a good time.

Last night I ate a roll cake. It is called “Kingyo roll” because Nagasu is famous for goldfish. There are a lot of goldfish’s goods in Nagasu. I was surprised because the color of the roll is red. Emperor's Birthday

On December 23 is the Emperor’s Birthday. Today I took part in Christmas party. There are Sayaka, Chikako, Asaki and I. We gathered Asaki’s house. Before I went there, I went to grocery store in Arao by the car. I chose a Christmas present. There are a lot of goods so I was trouble. The cost of the Christmas present is 300 yen. It is cheap but very cute. At 6:00, I went to Asaki’s house by train. At dinner, we ate pizza and cake. They are very good. We talked about a lot of things. We exposed our secrets. It is so interesting for me to talk with them. Then we exchange the present by Uno. I got Chikako’s present. The present was a towel. It is very cute, isn’t it? I like it very much. After that, chikako came home. We stayed up late. The next day I had first period, so I was very sleepy. But I had a good time. Kana wasn’t in there, so I want to take part in the party with Kana. I was very excited.

My favorite club is art club. When I was a high school student, I belonged to the art club. There are only 4 people in the club. We draw a lot of pictures when we prepare for a cultural festival. I was invited by my friend, because the club member was only one person. If I don't join the club, the club has disappeared. I am not good at drawing pictures. But I enjoyed the club. There are a lot of good memories. For example, we went go out sketching, drawing pictures. The character which my friend drew became a mascot character of Tamana city. So we were very surprised. The most interesting memory was drawing a votive picture tablet of a horse. After school we did my best for it. I was very glad because we achieve it.

I read “China”. China is a big country and a lot of people live there. This book introduce about China such as food, Chinese art, city life, families, Buddhism and so on. I am interested in Chinese New Year. The most interesting things are “New Year is the biggest Chinese holiday. It celebrates the start of spring, in late January or February. The festival lasts for fifteen days. All the families meet on New Year’s Eve. People set off noisy firecrackers outside.”(Leonie, 2008, p.24)

New Year is also the biggest Japan holiday. I like New Year because I was given New Year’s gift. New Year is just around the corner. I am looking forward to it. There are a lot of the difference between China and Japan. I can understand China. China is near Japan. I have never been to foreign country. So if I have a chance, I want to go to China.

Volunteer

On December 20, I took part in the crime prevention with Sayaka. I have done volunteers two times this year. I want to do volunteer so I decided to take part in it. At 2:00, we tried to go to Karashima Park by bus. But there is not the bus so we walked to Karashima Park. It took for about an hour. We got lost and we ran a parking lot of underground. I was very tired before the volunteer. We arrived at Karashima Park on time. There are 7 volunteers of college students. We wear an orange windbreaker, an armband and a cap. Then, we waited the ceremony start. The ceremony started at 4:00. There are a lot of people. For example, I saw Kabashima who is Governor of Kumamoto, Kouyama who is a mayoral and so on. We had a parade in downtown. I was very ashamed because there are a lot of cameras and take pictures. The head of the procession was a music party. We had a parade the back. We had a parade with the character of Kumamoto which is called Kumamon. It is very cute. It is popular with young people so it was taken pictures. After the parade finished, we went to a police station. They gave us tea. After that, I went to boring with Sayaka because she had free tickets of one boring game. I am not good at boring so the score was bad. Sayaka won the game. The boring game was free but a charge for the shoes was 400 yen. I thought that it was a little expensive. But I had a good time. We appeared on TV of the evening news for a moment. In addition, we appeared in the news papers. If I have chance again, I want to take part in volunteer activities.

I will tell you about my university life now. I go to the university every day. My university life is very busy but I enjoy it very much. There are a lot of happy and hard things in my university life. But I like the university very much because there are a lot of reasons.

I have a lot of classes such as Japanese history, American literature, psychology, a teacher training course and so on. I am interested in them. And I study English hard every day. It is so difficult for me to learn them. In addition I have to do my homework and write a report. So I am very busy now, but I do my best.

Second of all, I will tell you about my friends. There are a lot of friends in the university. I can meet them every day. They are very kind to me. I can enjoy talking with them. For example, my favorite things, food, love, studying and so on. To talk them makes me happy. I am always laughing when I talk with them. I have lunch with them every day. When I was trouble, they help me. At first, I was worried whether I can make friends. Because there are a lot of people who I didn’t know. But we made friends soon. I was very glad to make friends them.

Finally, I will tell you about the institutions. At first, I was very surprised because this university is larger than I expected. There are a lot of good institutions in the university. For example, library, a student’s dining hall, bakery and so on. They are very comfortable because there are air conditioners. My favorite place in the university is bakery. There are many kind of bread are sold. For example, bagel, curry bun, melon bun, pizza and so on. I often go there to buy lunch. They are delicious. Recently new loaves are sold. I have never eaten them so I want to try them. I also like library because I can read a lot of books, magazines and newspapers. And I can do some research by various things. I often go to the library when I don’t have a class. Whenever I go there, I do my homework or study English. The library is comfortable so I can concentrate in there. Also, I can watch DVD in the library. Recently, I am busy so I don’t watch DVD. I want to DVD if I had a lot of time.

As you can see, I enjoy my university life now. I am living a comfortable life. I want to study hard more and I want to enjoy my university life. I don’t want to regret my life. I want to make a lot of good memories before I graduate from the university. I want to be an English teacher in the future. So I will do my best for the dream in my university life.

I read “Androcles and the Lion” This story is about a man who is called Androcles. He was very poor but he was kind. Androcles worked for Brutus who is a rich man. Androcles works hard but Brutus has never paid him. One night, Androcles decided to run away. Then he ran into the forest. He saw an enormous lion in the forest. The lion didn’t run because there is a thorn in his paw. Androcles helped him. From then they became best friends. One morning, Androcles was caught by a soldier. The soldier took him to a big stadium. He had to fight a lion. Then something strange happened, Androcles felt a lick on his hand. Androcles hugged his friend.

The emperor said “You were very brave” (Russel, 2008, p.45) I think so too. Androcles is a kind and brave man. If I were him, I can’t help the lion. Because I was afraid of the lion. So he is very brave. I was happy because at last Androcles and the lion were free. This story is interesting, so please read it.

Christmas party

On Wednesday, Christmas party was held in my cram. At first I don’t want to take part in the party. But I can eat the cake so I take part in it. I took part in the party to help children. Joyfull in Nagasu is closed at 2:00. So we talked until then. The next day I can’t get up early in the morning. But I had a good time. I want to eat the cake again.

The way he warms up is to slide down the hill. Perry went to the top of the hill, and he slide all the way down and round. It looks interesting. I also want to slide the hill. I read The Lion and the Mouse. The illustration of the book is very cute, so I decided to read the book. I will tell you about this story.
